A Life Rooted in Love

Wife. Mother. Sister. Grandmother. Ruby, affectionately known as "Ma Rubes," lived a quiet, radiant life — rooted in faith, family, and the things she loved to grow. She was a gardener who found peace with her hands in the soil, an artist who saw beauty in small and simple things, and a teacher at the Ensom City All Age (now Primary) School, where she taught art and craft, and reading.

She was a servant leader whose ministry extended beyond the classroom into the Children's Ministries and Sabbath School Departments at Spanish Town Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The family will be adding more of Ruby's story here — her childhood and the moments that shaped her.

Ruby's faith was steady and sure. A servant leader in the Children's Ministries and Sabbath School Departments at Spanish Town Seventh Day Adventist Church, she carried her belief quietly — in the way she treated people, the peace she offered, and the hope she held onto. The last book she read was In His Time by Rosemarie Benjamin.

She taught "In the Hills of Judea" to her daughter, Nicole.
